Students underwent changes in their life as they worked from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, such as an ambiguous boundary between work and life. They had to find new ways to do the same pre-pandemic activities such as connecting with friends, leading to discussion about implications of social application usage. We developed surveys to access their social application usage and their overall experience with the applications they used. From participants’ responses, we draw conclusions about the changes students experienced and their interactions with social applications. We then discussed possible reasons behind this and provided suggestions to improve their online learning experience.
